Freiberg Colloquium: 15 years of terra mineralia - a look back at an exciting time
Lecturer: Dipl.-Min. Andreas Massanek
The terra mineralia exhibition at Freudenstein Castle was opened in October 2008. However, it was not completed until Easter 2009 with the inauguration of the Asia Hall. This is now the 15th anniversary.
Since then, more than 1.2 million visitors have seen the exhibition and interest remains high. The lecture goes back to the time of terra mineralia's creation with insights behind the scenes, but also summarises important developments that have taken place over the past 15 years. These include extensive activities such as special exhibitions, school and holiday programmes and other educational offers both inside and outside the museum. Finally, planned innovations will also be presented, which our visitors will be able to discover in just a few weeks' time.
Location: TU Bergakademie Freiberg, large lecture theatre of the Abraham-Gottlob-Wernerbau,
Brennhausgasse 14, 09599 Freiberg
Free admission
